Leadership That Listens
Ocean Beach is a special place to live, work, raise a family, and visit. Unfortunately, there
are many people who don’t think they’re being listened to and their concerns taken
seriously. It’s no secret that for far too long people have been discouraged from
participating in village meetings. Questions, concerns and comments have been met with
hostility, rather than a genuine openness and willingness to hear from our constituents.
Our village deserves leadership that listens to our residents, plans thoughtfully for our future, and fights every day to protect our quality of life.
I INTEND TO CHANGE THIS AND HERE IS HOW...
Accessibility and communications are key.
* Engagement with a smile.
* Regularly scheduled office hours to meet with your elected officials.
* Outreach to village resident experts. Whenever needed.
* Leverage existing organizations such as VOBEC and the OBA as well as develop
advisory boards to address our village’s most pressing concerns.
* Openness to input, challenges, questions, and comments.
IT’S TIME FOR CHANGE. A REAL CHANGE.
I believe in a village government that listens first, communicates clearly, and works in true
partnership with residents and business owners. Decisions should be transparent,
responsive, and grounded in the real needs of our community, this will start on day one!
Local Elections Are Decided By Neighbors Talking To Neighbors.
For 35 years as an OBFD Fire Fighter and 10 years as the Chief of the department, I was the
one coming to help you. To win this election on Friday June 5th I now need your help. Give
me an opportunity to share my thoughts and priorities with you and address your concerns.
With your help we can make CHANGE. I need your help to get my message out.
Will you:
* Host a zoom call with a group of your friends and neighbors?
* In the spring, host a meet and greet at your home?
* Encourage your neighbors to register to vote and make sure they have a plan to
vote?
* Become a block captain and talk with neighbors?
* Help with election day reminders?

A Vibrant Downtown
I belive that small business districts play an essential role in maintaining a healthy active
and vibrant community. This can be accomplished through partnerships with business
owners, residents and village officials.
This will be a high priority Starting the day I take office and, as a homeowner and business
owner for over 30 years, is something I can readily take on.
